The Rotax 1503 is a 4-stroke, 3-cylinder, naturally aspirated engine with a displacement of 1,494 cc (1.5L). Designed and manufactured by BRP (Bombardier Recreational Products), it is widely used in Sea-Doo personal watercraft and jetboats. Known for its reliability, efficiency, and ease of maintenance, this engine delivers up to 130 horsepower, making it ideal for recreational use and general-purpose watercraft.
This engine uses a closed-loop cooling system, which prevents saltwater corrosion by circulating coolant through a heat exchanger. It features electronic fuel injection for optimized performance and fuel economy, as well as a dry sump lubrication system that ensures consistent oil flow in all conditions. Starting is electric, and the ignition is digitally controlled by an ECU (sold separately or available upon request).
Our offered unit is remanufactured or used, depending on availability, and comes with engine mounts included. Other components such as the ECU, wiring harness, and throttle body may be available separately.
This engine is compatible with many Sea-Doo models equipped with the 4-TEC platform, including the GTI 130, Wake 130, and some non-supercharged GTX models. It’s also commonly adapted for use in custom builds, hovercrafts, or lightweight boats due to its balanced power-to-weight ratio and broad parts availability
